About our privacy policy

OXLink are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected, whether you make an enquiry, enagage our services or even if you just visit our website.

This privacy policy explains:

What happens when you visit our website

Web server data logs

Log entries are created by our web server whenever someone visits our site. However, the data collected is anonymous and, as such, can never be used to indentify individual visitors.

Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of data placed on visitors' computers by websites they visit. Most are innocuous and used only to provide anonymous visit data to the site owners or to enable the operation of key site functionality - such as to maintain the contents of an online shopping basket.

On www.oxlink.net, we use cookies to anonymously track site visit data (through Google Analytics). You'll find that a great many other websites are using cookies for exactly the same purpose too - whether they choose to tell you about it in their cookie policy or not.

We use the data collected through Google Analytics (which is never personally-indentifiable) to help us to understand our visitors' needs and to make sure that we're meeting them. This information isn't shared across domains, so the pages you visit on our website won't be used to 'personalise your experience' on another.

For more information on the cookies we use, see the data table below.

Cookies associated with oxlink.net (first-party cookies)

Cookies associated with YouTube (third-party cookies)

Along with OXLink's own proprietary content, www.oxlink.net also sometimes includes embedded videos provided and hosted by YouTube (youtube.com).

We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode which means that cookies will only be set on your computer once you begin video playback and, even then, no personally-identifiable information will be collected or stored.

For more details, see YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode for embedded videos page.

What happens when you contact us

Should you contact us (either online, in person, via telephone, fax or letter), in order to facilitate our response to your enquiry, you may be asked to provide us with some personal details. Such information might include (but is not limited to):

This information will never be passed on to any third party unless it should become absolutely necessary in providing a service to you. Nor will we automatically add your details to any mailing list and bombard you with unsolicited marketing communications, just because you have asked us a question.

How we protect your personal information

The internet is not a secure medium and any personal information delivered (to anyone) via online technologies such as email may be subject to interception by a third party. For this reason, we would always very strongly advise that any especially sensitive data (such as credit card details) is never sent via email.

What happens with personal information we retain

Any personal information you provide to us, should it be necessary to retain it for any period after receipt, will be kept securely and confidentially in our password and firewall protected local systems.

What happens with personal information we do not retain

Should any personal information be no longer required, it will be carefully and completely destroyed. This includes both electronic and hard copies.

How to check, correct or limit the use of any information we hold

If you would like to check, correct or limit the use of any personal information we hold about you, please send your specific request (in writing) via email to: hello@oxlink.net or by letter to: OXLink Ltd, Hampden House, Monument Park, Chalgrove, Oxford, Oxfordshire, OX44 7RW.
